, is looking to fill a Public Engagement and Communication Specialist position in southeast Wisconsin.

The candidate should be organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects within defined scopes, schedules and budgets.
The candidate will provide communication, outreach and support to public engagement team leads and project managers.
This position requires an outgoing personality, strict attention to detail, the ability to communicate well with large and small groups and seeing assignments through from start to finish.
Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential.
This is a full-time position that requires travel to project site locations throughout Wisconsin and is NOT remote.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Primary Responsibilities Develop content for public consumption including presentations and other public meeting materials, newsletters, brochures, and project briefs.
Facilitate and organize open houses, workshops, public hearings, neighborhood meetings, workshops and other public events.
Attend external project, agency, and community meetings to provide public involvement updates and identify public involvement issues.
Collect data and manage databases, including database development, and reporting and maintaining records relating to project work.
Utilize a range of online engagement tools including surveys, websites and social media.
Assist with the development of public engagement plans and communication materials for transportation projects during the planning, design and construction phases.
Take meeting minutes; schedule and coordinate meetings and events (including meeting location); and participate in client meetings as necessary.
Provide communications and public involvement guidance and support to project staff on projects.
Interface with the public, stakeholders, and local officials to build trust and answer questions in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong time management skills and high attention to detail.
Ability to work beyond standard business hours.
Experience with Adobe products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive and Outlook) Knowledge of social media programs preferred.
Self-directed, personally motivated, works well under pressure.
Ability to work with and take direction from multiple levels of professional staff.
Must have valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
